Odd-Shaped Pineapple Grew in Tacloban, Young Boy Asks If Its Safe To Eat


Steve Nash Diaz, a young boy from Tacloban City, Leyte has planted a pineapple after the super typhoon Yolanda. Recently, the pineapple planted bear fruit but it bewildered everyone.


Steve's family and the people from the area got confused and surprised on how the pineapple grew, reported by ABS-CBN.

It grew like a shape of fan, much more different from its normal cylindrical shape. It also had an old bunch of spiky green leaves that grew with the fruit.

The fruit is about ripen but the question of the young boy was, was it safe to it after having a peculiar shape?

Pineapples can be eaten by peeling of its skin and can used to make fruit juices. It is rich in bromelain which is a proteolytic enzyme that has a lot of health benefits. It has been to an effective anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxant and as a digestive aid.
