MTRCB investigates Eat Bulaga due to Sotto's victim-blaming!

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) immediately calls the attention of the producers of the noontime show 'Eat Bulaga' due to the victim-shaming of Senator Tito Sotto on live television last Saturday after netizens expressed their thoughts about the controversy.

A letter by the MTRCB dated July 11 invites TAPE Inc.'s President Antonio Tuviera, Eat Bulaga's Creative Head Jenny Ferre and Seniro Vice President Malou Choa-Fagar to an investigation on the remarks given to the woman.

Last Saturday, during the the segment 'Juan for all, All for Juan' Senator Sotto fires criticism to the woman, saying that it was really her fault why she was taken advantage by her drinking buddies and said that she might be wearing revealing clothes.

MTRCB's new chair Eugenio Villareal stated that they distinguished concerns all over social media about the remarks given by Sotto. On the issue, two articles were fastened on a post on Twitter which made the regulatory board to look into a video of the incident.
