Did Jesse Robredo Investigate Pagdilao Before His Plane Crashed? Listen to VP Leni's Reaction

Vice President Leni Robredo shot down claims circulating on social media, insinuating that Police Director Pagdilao might be allegedly responsible for her husband’s death.

She said, her husband, the late Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jesse Robredo was not investigating Pagdilao before he died in a plane crash in August 2012.

She added she didn’t know Pagdilao’s involvement with the suspects who ransacked their condominium, where Jesse’s classified files were kept, days after the crash.

"Parang at that time, I was managing my sanity di ba? Parang sinasabi ko, wala akong pakialam diyan,” she said.

Despite the swirling theories and allegations regarding her husband’s death on social media, Robredo would not take further action.

Pagdilao, former head of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), was one of the five “PNP generals” who were allegedly involved in illegal drug trade.
