Because of Duterte’s Campaign, 700 Drug Users and Pushers Surrendered!

No more illegal drugs for 700-plus users and pushers in Rosario, Cavite

Last Sunday, 20 barangays submitted a long list of drug users and pushers who voluntarily surrendered themselves to authorities. The list was “strictly for documentation purposes only” and would be added to the Philippine National Police’s (PNP’s) official portal for illegal drug activities in the country.

The suspected drug users and pushers promised to stay away from illegal drugs. They each signed a sworn statement as part of their surrender.

In exchange, they will be given amnesty by the police. They will also receive financial assistance and rehabilitation packages that cost as much as P39,000 per person. Furthermore, local labor and employment officials will help them find new jobs.

This is the biggest mass surrender of suspected drug dealers since the PNP, with the aid of local government units (LGUs), started their campaign against illegal drugs.
