Showtime is back as number 1 noontime show, is it the end of AlDub and Eat Bulaga?


According to the ratings that the Kantar media released, Showtime gets their first lead against the ratings of Eat Bulaga ever since the love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza was launched in the noon time show. 



The ratings for the month of January since the first day of the New year was released. It was a nationwide TV Ratings, whereas the noontime show of ABS-CBN finally gained the top spot again when It's Showtime had a higher rating than Eat Bulaga. It was the first time after AlDub joined the show. 

Here is the nationwide ratings that was given by Kantar Media from January 1-11, 2016. 

January 1: It’s Showtime (9.9%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (15.3%)

January 2: It’s Showtime (Saturday) (13.7%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (Saturday) (20.3%)

January 4: It’s Showtime (13.9%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (15.1%)  

January 5: It’s Showtime (13.8%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (15.7%)

January 6: It’s Showtime (13.5%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (15.9%)

January 7: It’s Showtime (15.0%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (16.6%)

January 8: It’s Showtime (15.5%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (16.0%)

January 9: It’s Showtime (Saturday) (16.3%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (Saturday) (18.4%)

January 11: It’s Showtime (15.5%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (15.2%)

Some claims that the reason behind this is the grand come back of the historical singing contest that discovered most of the OPM artists today. It was the segment called, 'Tawag ng Tanghalan' which was launched by Showtime last week!

  1. I was saddened at first because I'm an eat bulaga fan. But I thought a program, even if its the least watched, only becomes relevant if its able to make a difference in the lives of its viewers and influence them for the better. Eat bulaga manages to advocate the importance of charity and discipline as it delivers entertainment to Filipino households by personally reaching out to them to the barangay level 6 days a week. Relevant is what a show must be.

Maybe they can see it when you go to one channel to the other, pero pano naman yung namaling pindot lang?? Lol. Setting aside that issue, alam nmin kung ano yung number ONE and obviously it'll always be eat bulga.

  17. minsan kasi kapag nahaluan na ng hindi malinis na laban wala ng naniniwala.sanay ang eat bulaga na laging dinadaya. kaya tumaas man rating nila(IS) walang naniniwala kahit na sa buong nasyon pa ipagsigawan kasi sila ang may gawa kumbakit nagdududa ang tao sa katapatan nila.

Mga aldub fans ng tinalo movie nila nagkadayaan daw pero wala nmn nagrerekamo puro ngawa lang nang naungusan s ratings binabayaran daw hahaha ang kantar daw pag mamayari ng abs ano ba ang tingin nyo sa AGB bayaran din yan ng gma na nagkakaso pa about TV ratings manipulation mataas ratings ng mga palabas sa gma from AGB pero bakit mabilis matapos mga serye nila flop ang mga movies at halos hnd kilala mga artista

    Now na nakaangat sila "daw" eh, ayan halos araw araw na kung ipagmalaki na nangunguna sila.

ANG AGB NIELSEN ay partner comapany ng GMA 7 matagal na, since nung nagkaroon ng kaso ang GMA 7 sa ABS-CBN kasi nagbabahay-bahay ang agent ng GMA 7 at namimigay pa nga ng bigas ang GMA 7 para ilipat lang nila yung mga channel ng binibiyan nila ng bigas... kapag hindi nilipat ang channel walang bigas...

Ska guys kung mali ang info ng kantar bkit nila ilalabas un?? my tendency n idemanda cla ng eat bulaga s paglalabas ng wrong info..peo dhil no violent reaction from gma or eat bulaga..itsmeans totoo po un kantar..hayss kc nmn paulit ulit n ung aldub..wlang bago,wlang thrill yan tuloy nagsawa n mga tao..

    1. i admit visyas region namely i;oilo balwarte ng abscbn mostly kasi mga mangmang mga tao dyan pero sa mega manila bulaga talaga n medyo bumaba lang rating ng bulaga sa mga manila compare last year kaya natalo sila sa national rating ang importante naman mega manila di national rating alam ng advertiser sa visayas walang pambili ng producto nila

  51. saka wala na kasing itaa tapat ang abscbn sa noontime show kaya apinagtyatyagaan na lang nila biro mo as low as 5% ang rating sa mega manila sobrang baba niya halos wala ng nanonood ngung october ng showtime importante mega manila ang mataas ang rating hindi probinsya

Isang bobong tao na naman ang nagmarunong ang rating ay basehan ng mga advertisers sa isang programa sa telebisyon kung ang kanilang inadvertise n product ay nareach ng viewers di lang s mega manila kundi sa buong Pilipinas at Kantar lng may kakayahan nyan urban at rural ang kaya nilang idatos..now alam mo n HEGINO DELA CRUZ..dahil kung ako ay advertisers doon ako sa malawak ang sakop...bobo mo opinyong wlng alam s negosyo puro rating langns utak..dpat pag-aralan nyo ang bumubuhay s programa ang advertisers at rating..

  52. Hahaha! Basa mga di matanggap ang katotohanan: Kantar pa rin kahit isearch mo company nila sa web wala kang makikitang anomalya. Pero ang AGB daming bansa na the same din ang ginawa noon sa ABS-CBN na pumabor sa GMA7 lang ang rating kaya lumipat ang ABS-CBN sa Kantar mula noon.
